LILIES FOR LILLIE 2012 CAMPAIGN
In 2003, I started Lilies for Lillie in memory of my mother Lillie
as when she passed away of leukemia at the age of 53, I promised to
continue her legacy of helping others. Lilies for Lillie is doing
just that as over the past 8 years, the campaign has raised $300,000
for respective charities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This
could have never been accomplished without continued support of the
corporate community and the giving communities of this province.
In partnership with Scotiabank and VOCM Cares, our 2012 goal is to
raise $50,000 for Daffodil Place. Our donation to Daffodil Place
will be for a new garden which is to be built in the summer of 2012.
It is going to be a beautiful spot for cancer patients and their
families to spend some time together during very difficult times. We
will be naming the pond to be constructed in the garden, in honour
of my mother. Above is a snapshot of this amazing project.
So please take a look around the web site and especially the about
section to learn a little more about the charity and my mother. Be
sure to check out our events page to see how you can help us reach
the 2012 goal!
Sincerely,
Gord Delaney
