LILLIE DELANEY
October 26, 1947 - November 10, 2000
Lillie Delaney is the mother of two sons, Frank and Gord and the
wife of Frank. Lillie loved the little things in life and she loved
to bring joy to others lives, often by song. She volunteered to sing
at places such as the St. Pats Mercy home, Waterford Hospital, Agnes
Pratt nursing home and many more. She sang at weddings, funerals,
birthday and anniversary parties. She even sang on Music Row,
Nashville Tennessee! Lillie worked at the Newfoundland Liquor
Corporation where she would always greet you with a smile! As well,
she may also look familiar as the manager of the Santa Claus booth
at the Village Shopping Centre, where she oversaw this project for
10 years. In addition to singing, some of Lillie's other hobbies
were traveling around the world, dancing, roller skating and
spreading her infectious smile to everybody she encountered. Lillie
will be forever remembered for her generosity, humour, beautiful
voice and her positive energy. She touched the lives of many people
and she will be forever be cherished, loved and missed.
"The Little Things that made her smile, like bringing joy to others lives, the way she loved to laugh and sing, how I miss The Little Things" From the song "The Little Things" written by Maureen Ennis & Mark Murphy.
